Gemora Account & Data Deletion

Effective Date: October 12, 2026
Last Updated: October 12, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your Gemora account and associated personal data.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You may request account deletion using any of the following methods.

In the Gemora App

  1. Open Gemora.
  2. Go to Settings → Data Management → Delete Account.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request.

On the Web

Visit:

https://gemora.app/delete-account

You can request deletion without installing the app by using the email option below. This page is the external account-deletion resource; it does not require a signed-in app session.

By Email

You may also request assistance by emailing:

privacy@gemora.app

or

support@gemora.app

Use the subject:

Account Deletion Request

We may ask you to verify that you control the Account before completing a deletion request.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Deleting your Account initiates deletion of personal data associated with that Account, including, as applicable:

  • account and profile information;
  • conversations, prompts, notes, and journal entries;
  • stored Memory and personalization data;
  • uploaded files, images, and other User Content;
  • account preferences and settings.

Certain limited information may be retained where required or permitted for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or regulatory purposes.

Residual copies may also remain temporarily in system backups until overwritten through normal backup lifecycle processes.

3. Deletion Processing

After you confirm an in-app request, account deletion starts immediately, with no recovery period. You cannot cancel it after processing starts. We mark deletion complete only after the required steps succeed. Interrupted steps are retried automatically.

For email requests, we first verify that you control the account, then initiate deletion without a recovery period. Email verification and technical processing take time; not every copy across every provider disappears at the instant you send an email.

Where data must be retained for a permitted purpose, Gemora limits retention to what is reasonably necessary for that purpose.

4. Data That May Be Retained

Examples of information that may be retained after account deletion include:

  • billing or transaction records required for tax or accounting purposes;
  • limited security, fraud-prevention, or abuse records;
  • information required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce legal rights;
  • temporary residual copies in system backups.

Retained information is not used to continue providing the deleted Account with the Service.

5. Delete Data Without Deleting Your Account

To delete specific personal data while keeping your account, email privacy@gemora.app with the subject Data Deletion Request. Identify the conversations, journal entries, saved memories, uploaded files, or other data you want deleted.

We may verify account ownership and clarify the scope before deleting data. Do not include passwords, authentication codes, or sensitive documents in the email. The limited retention exceptions described above also apply.

6. Subscriptions

Deleting your Gemora account does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription. To stop renewals, cancel it in Google Play or the Apple App Store. You can request account deletion even if you have not cancelled the subscription; contact support@gemora.app for assistance.
